Parents did not interfere with the girl in the choice of profession and life path. They gladly took Katya to a youth theater school, where she entered after passing the compulsory exam at the age of thirteen. There, the gifted girl studied acting, and also met with theatrical professions.
Education has helped her escape from the routine of school everyday, liberate herself, find herself in the field of art and realize her creative talents.
It was in this unusual institution that Catherine Gorokhovskaya finally decided to link her life with the stage. Serving in TYUT theatrical performances, participating in improvisations and performances, learning all the subtleties of artistic craft, the girl finds in herself the creative potential and is ignited by the desire to work in the field of drama.
At the age of seventeen, Ekaterina Gorokhovskaya enters the Humanities University at an acting and directing department.

Two years later, the future famous artist becomes a student at the Institute of Performing Arts, where she receives a theater studies specialty.
In 2000, a fairly well-known young actress attends Kozlov G.'s courses, and she does this for the soul, as a free listener. Within two years, having thoroughly studied the basics of acting and directorial craft, Catherine plunges into her work.
First theatrical roles
At the age of twenty-two, Catherine Gorokhovskaya makes her debut at the Bolshoi Drama Theater named after Tovstonogov as Tomasina (the play by the modern English playwright Stoppard “Arcadia”).
The production opened a new, unusual talent of a young debutante. She, imbued with the spirit and style of the avant-garde play, perfectly portrayed her little tragic heroine on stage.
The performance was a fusion of several genres and eras. A harsh note of serious tragedy creeps into ironic and witty dialogues, and modern time alternates with the first years of the 19th century.
For the role of Tomasina, the aspiring actress received the prestigious Strezhelchik award.
This was followed by other interesting theatrical proposals, such as the colorful role of Tanya in the play “Five - Twenty Five”.
Filming of motion pictures brought some fame to Catherine. Here it is worth mentioning the phenomenal film “Russian Ark”, filmed in 2001 by one double, without mounting and stopping the camera. The full-length art picture dedicated to Russian culture and history has won many special awards and prizes.
Ekaterina Gorokhovskaya was also invited to other interesting, but small roles: Rita (“Own Shadow)”, Tanya (“Name Day”), Irina (“The Wanderer”).
And yet the young Gorokhovskaya does not limit itself to just acting work. She begins to work hard as a theater director.In the Saratov Theater of the Young Spectator, the actress puts quality and curious performances of “The Top” and “Winters Will Not Be”, in Yekaterinburg - “Gray Neck”, in the Ozyorsk Theater “Our Home” - “The Phoenix Bird Returns Home”. Ekaterina Gorokhovskaya also writes her own stage production “The Sprout”, which she successfully shows in various theaters for young people.
An important milestone in the career of an actress can be considered her work on the dubbing of films and cartoons.The girl's voice is well placed, has the necessary tone and vibration, which helps her competently and successfully duplicate different characters.
